Arndt Feuerbacher and Falk Krumbe from the Chair of Ecological-Economic Policy Modelling at the University of Hohenheim attended the 27th Biodiversity and Economics for Conservation (BIOECON) Conference in Cambridge, UK, on 7–8 September 2026.

Arndt Feuerbacher presented first results from a new study that estimates trends in wild pollinator populations and looks at what their extrapolations means for the global food system and for policies to protect biodiversity. The study is a collaboration with Falk Krumbe, Yaghoob Jafari (University of Bonn), Anne Mupepele (University of Marburg) and Roel van Klink (German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research (iDiv) Halle-Jena-Leipzig). The work by the Hohenheim team and Anne Mupepele was carried out as part of the BEATLE project.
